It is not necessary to have existing links on your site for VigLink to work.  VigLink has a link insertion feature that inserts links into relevant merchant, brand and product names that are present in your site content.  You can turn on this feature in your Features tab in your VigLink account.    

VigLink does affiliate existing outbound links to merchants and products that are covered in our Merchant Network.  The way you generate revenue from VigLink is when you have outbound retail links on your site and your users click on them and make purchases, you would then earn a commission.  

However, if you have no links on your site and Link Insertion is turned off, then you will not earn any revenue.  So, we encourage all users to not only include links, but turn Link Insertion on!

VigLink does not place any ads or banners on your site.
